What's up, everyone? In this video, I'll show you how to change the internal battery in an Acura MDX key Fob. This key Fob was used between 2014 and 2020 and uses CR 2032 battery. Okay, all you'll need is a flathead screwdriver and one of these batteries that you can get on Amazon. Put a link down in the description if you want to get that.

It's really cheap. Just a couple of bucks and then you can follow along. Let's start by pulling on this lever on the front of the key Fob. Hold it down just so we can release the internal key. You see this metal thing for the keyring there?

We're going to insert our flathead screwdriver in between this and the little lip on the back of the key Fob. So this is the front here's the back, and right in there you can see a little space between them. I'll show you going to take our tool and put it in between right there. And you'll feel it kind of secure into place. Once you feel it between those two, you can gently twist firmly but gently twist just until you feel the slightest little pop.

That means we've created some separation on the side. Now I want you to continue down that side, gently twisting, working your way down, twisting until the two parts come free. And now we have our battery. So you can go ahead and use your flathead screwdriver or whatever you have and try to get under it from this side. Just gently again, get under it and pop it up like that and you'll see it comes right out.

Take a new CR 2032 positive side with the battery info goes up and you can slide it in before clicking the other half in into place and it should be secure and sit flush and you're pretty much done. Just go ahead, click this back together.

Put your key back in and you can see the light comes on and you're good to go. If this video helped you out, feel free to leave a like or a comment. Hello everyone. In this video, I'll show you how to change the internal battery in an Acura MDX key Fob. This key Fob was used between 2014 and 2018 and uses one CR 2032 battery. You can get this battery on Amazon. I've put a link down in the description for you to get it.

It's just a couple of bucks and then you can follow along at home, do the whole thing by yourself. The only other tool you'll need is a flathead screwdriver. So the first step is to flip it over, find the lever on the back, push it, hold it down and just pull out this internal key. Now, staying on the back, we're going to put a tool in between this metal thing for the keyring and the lip, the edge on the back. Here, I'll show you.

There's a little space in between these two. That's where we're going to put our tool.

So you're going to come and you're basically just going to wiggle it in until you feel that it's secure again. Coming on the back, on the back side of this thing. Once you feel that it's secure, you're going to twist. Hold it firmly, but twist just gently until you feel a little pop. And that's a separation being created on the side.

Now I want you to come in on the side with your tool. Just insert it in just like we were doing before. You're going to insert it into that space and twist, move down a little bit, twist and the two things will come apart just like that. That's the way to do it. You don't want to damage it, so just take it slow, be gentle.

Same thing here. Going to come under the battery from this side, just being slow and careful. Just try to get under your battery. And once you do just with a little twist, it will pop out. Take a new CR 2032.

Make sure the positive side of the battery info is facing up just like this. You can start to slide it in like that and then click the other side down and it will sit flush in there and will be secure and you've done it. All that's left to do is just to click these two back together, make sure the light comes on and you're good to go. If this video helped you out, feel free to leave a like or a comment. Locate the screw on the bottom of the key fob where the key ring is. Use a precision screwdriver to remove the screw. Next, with the key fob face-up, push up on the key ring until the section with the buttons comes free.

Now you will need to push down on one of the buttons to separate the face of the key fob from the batter housing underneath. Look to the right side of this piece and locate the small slot in the center. Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the slot and twist. The compartment will open revealing the battery. Use your screwdriver to gently pry the battery out.

Next, take a new CR1616 battery and push it into place face-down. Finally, reassemble the key fob and put the screw back in. Boom, you did it! Nice work, your key fob is ready to go.

What's up everyone? In this video I'll show you how to change the internal battery in an Acura MDX key Fob. This key Fob was used between 2007 - 2014 and uses a CR 1616 battery. If yours has a different number of buttons or maybe one of the other Fob that you might have seen in the YouTube thumbnail. As long as it's the MDX with the flipping internal key, it's the same process.

Just go ahead and follow along. All you'll need is one of these batteries that you can get on Amazon. I've put a link in the description to get one for just a couple of bucks and they'll come right to your door. You can follow along and you will need a precision screwdriver to access this to take out this little screw here. If you don't have something like this, you can get a set of these on Amazon for just a couple of bucks.

It's really cheap and it comes in handy around the house. I'll put a link in the description so you can get these and follow along. First step is just to remove that screw. And this is a flathead 1.4 millimeter. That's just what I have that fits.

And I'm just going to put it in and pull out the screw. Go ahead and set that to the side. Once you get it out, make sure not to lose this. Just put it somewhere safe. And now we can go and we're going to remove this front piece of the key Fob.

So you're just going to push up, kind of on the bottom of the key Fob. Just pull that part up and you can see it starting to come up. And then this is a little bit of a weird mechanism, but it's going to hang on there, right here. And you just kind of pull it out. Wiggling it.

Yeah. Once you do it, you'll get a feel for it. It will click. It's not breaking or anything. That's just how it goes.

Just click it out, set that to the side. This is what we want. Can now push on the face of the battery. Sorry, the buttons on the face of the Fob to get into this little inner sanctum that has the battery inside. Now looking at it from the front on the right side there's that little groove.

We're going to put something in our flathead screwdriver and twist to open it up so you can use the same one you just used. Mine is a little small. I'm going to put a little bit larger of a flight of screwdriver in there. And once it's secure, twist gently. You just want to be not like that.

Try not to make that mistake. No problem. But you just don't want to damage anything. So just pushing down but with not too much pressure. Just twist it's a little bit hard.

But once you're in anyway, you can come under on the side here and just try to get under the lip of the battery and once you're under there pry it out and they'll pop right out. This is the CR 1616 so go ahead take a new one. Make sure the positive side with the battery info goes face down just like this. Push it into place. It will sit securely.

Now we can go reassembling this so you can see when we fold it like so that will be on top. You don't want to do it like that.

That wouldn't work. So just make sure that little battery receiver is on top of the battery. You can go and click everything back together making sure that the edges are all good and secure. You can see the light comes on meaning we're good to go put this back in place and now we can return kind of pushing in like that. Just like that.

Click we heard before and then push down and now you're done. You're just going to put this screw back in its place.

It can be a little bit tricky.

Just bear with me just going to put the screw back in its place and you're just going to twist that back up like so and you're done. What's up, everyone? In this video, I'll show you how to change the internal battery in an Acura MDX key Fob. It looks like this. Maybe it has a different number of buttons or different colors.

It's the same thing. Just check the YouTube thumbnail. There's a couple of different versions of this, but the process is all the same. So if yours is black or there's an older one that looks a little bit differently, it's all the same process. Just go ahead and follow along.

All you're going to need is a flathead screwdriver, one of these CR 2025 batteries, which you can get in the description below from Amazon. Just a couple of bucks come right to your door and then you can follow along. And this was used between 2001 and 2006 on MDX's. First step on the bottom here where the keyring is. Go ahead and locate that little groove.

We're going to take our flathead screwdriver, insert it into the groove. We're going to twist. Just to open this up, let me show you firmly but gently. Just give a twist until you hear a little crack. And now we have some separation on the side.

Just go down there, twisting, coming down, twisting, and the whole thing will come loose. And now we have access to the battery. Take the same tool and just get under the battery on the side. Show you again. It's really easy.

You can just come under it, get under the battery and kind of pull up like that and it'll come right out. Take a new CR 2025. Make sure the positive side with the battery information goes down like so. And once you put it in place, push it with your thumb and it'll click right in and click this back together. Check that your light comes on.

And if it does, you're all done. This video helped you out. Feel free to leave a like or comment. And for a full guide on changing your battery in this key Fob or any accurate key Fob, click the link in the description to go to fobbattery.com. Thank you so much for watching.
