How To Replace a Acura TLX Key Fob Battery
Total Time: 3 minutes
1. Remove valet key
Start by removing the internal key from the device. To do this, hold down the little lever in front of the key fob and pull out the internal key.
2. Pry apart with flat-head screwdriver
Now, at the bottom of the key fob, locate the space between the metal key ring and the edge of the back. Insert your flat-head screwdriver into this area and carefully twist down the sides. The key fob will come apart this way.
3. Remove old battery
You should be looking at the old battery now. The next thing is to use your flathead screwdriver to gently pry the battery out from under the housing. You may need to hold down the battery with your thumb and do a little wiggling.
4. Insert new CR-2032 battery
Take a new CR2032 battery and install it with the positive side facing up. Finally, click the two halves of the key fob back together.

Hold down the lever on the front of the device to pull out the internal key.
Step 2
