Buy Small Screwdriver Set on Amazon

Locate the screw on the bottom of the key fob where the key ring is. Use a precision screwdriver to remove the screw. Next, with the key fob face-up, push up on the key ring until the section with the buttons comes free.

Now you will need to push down on one of the buttons to separate the face of the key fob from the batter housing underneath. Look to the right side of this piece and locate the small slot in the center. Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the slot and twist. The compartment will open revealing the battery. Use your screwdriver to gently pry the battery out.

Next, take a new CR1616 battery and push it into place face-down. Finally, reassemble the key fob and put the screw back in. Boom, you did it! Nice work, your key fob is ready to go.

What's up, everyone? In this video, I'm going to show you how to change the internal battery in an Acura TSX key Fob. This key Fob comes in a couple of variations. Some of them have more buttons. Buttons, fewer buttons.

As long as you have the TSX with the flipping internal key or like one of the ones you saw in the thumbnail, it's the same process. Just follow along. You'll have your battery change in no time. All you'll need is one of these CR 1616 batteries. And I have left a link in the description.

If you want to grab one of those on Amazon for just a couple of bucks and you will need some type of a precision screwdriver. Just anything you can see that just anything that will allow you to take out that screw. If you don't have one, you can get this. It's a pack. I'm using the 1.4 millimeter flathead.

You can get this on Amazon for just a couple of bucks. It's really handy to have. And once you have all everything you need, just follow along. Start by removing this screw. Again, I'm using a 1.4 millimeter.

You're going to need something pretty small and just get in there and twist it out.

Carefully remove it, set it to the side. Do not lose that. Now that that's free, we're going to be able to lift this little piece on the front up just like that. And now it's a little bit odd, but you will pull it out this way. You'll hear it click.

Take some getting used to it. There it is. That click. That's nothing breaking. That's just the mechanism.

That's just how it comes out. So now you can set this to the side. If you push on one of these buttons, the internal battery area will come right out. And looking at it, we're going to go to the right side here and there's. This little slot going to take my flathead screwdriver and put it in there and just twist.

Just twist enough for it to pop out. Create some separation. And now you can remove it with your fingers. Finally, take your same tool and just try to get under the battery. Just gently pry the battery out and it will pop right out.

This is it, CR 1616. And when you get your new one, make sure this positive side with the battery information goes down just like this. Position it into place. Just apply a little pressure. It'll click in.

Now we can just reattach everything. Go ahead, put this back. Make sure everything is sealed up.

This back into place like that. And finally going to take this and you're going to first add this kind of an angle, push this together until you hear that click. And it's kind of hanging on like that. And then just click the bottom part back together. Last step of course.

Replace this little screw and twist it up. That's it. Your light should come on. If your battery is good and you're good to go, let me know if this video helped me I'm sorry if this video helped you by leaving a like or a comment and if you'd like more information on this key Fob or any accurate key Fob go to fobbattery.com I've left a link in the description to see the full guide.
