• Precision screwdriver
How To Replace Acura TSX Key Fob Battery
Total Time: 4 minutes
1. Key Fob Screw Removal
Locate the small screw on the bottom of the key fob where the key ring is. Use a precision screwdriver to remove this screw.
2. Removing Key Fob Plastic Cover
Next, with the key fob face-up, remove the little piece of plastic on the front of the key fob. Simply push up on the key ring and pull out until the section with the buttons comes free. Note that you will hear a click sound, nothing’s wrong, it’s just the mechanism.
3. Separating Key Fob Parts
Now you will need to push down on one of the buttons to separate the face of the key fob from the battery housing underneath.
4. Opening Battery Compartment Slot
Look to the right side of this piece and locate the small slot in the center. Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the slot and twist. The compartment will open revealing the old battery.
5. Remove Old Battery
Use your screwdriver to get under the old battery and pry it out gently.
6. Inserting New CR1616 Battery
Next, take a new battery (CR1616) and push it into place with the plus side face-down.

Finally, reassemble the key fob and put the screw back in.

• 1x CR2025 battery
• Flat-head screwdriver
Step 1
Find the slot on the bottom of the key fob near the key ring. Done?
Step 2
Now, insert a flat-head screwdriver into this slot and twist like a key until the two halves of the key fob start to separate. Begin to work the screwdriver down the sides of the key fob until you hear a click. You can pull the covers apart with your fingers.
Step 3
Next, carefully position your screwdriver by the side of the battery, wiggle it in, and the battery will pop out with ease.
Step 4
Take a new battery (CR2025) and click it into place ensuring the positive sign goes face-down.
Step 5
Finally, just snap together the two halves of the key fob and you’re all set.
