1. Remove emergency key

The first thing is to remove the emergency key. Locate the silver button on the left side of the remote key fob. Press it down and pull out the internal key.

2. Insert key halfway, pry open seam

Next, use this key you just removed to pry off the back cover of the remote key fob. Insert the key halfway into the keyhole (not too deep). hold the key fob loosely and start to pry the cover open. As you do this, you will notice the seam opening up on the side. Now, add a little force. Once the seam opens up enough, separate the cover with your fingers.

3. Lift old battery with screwdriver
