What you will need:
1x CR2032 battery
Flat-head screwdriver
Step 1
First, check the bottom of the device. Can you notice the seam between the two halves of the key fob (where the key ring attaches)? Great. Now, push your flathead screwdriver into the corner of the seam, wiggling as you push. Once the tool is inside, twist it like a key. Repeat this until the two halves of the device pop open.
Step 2
Next, carefully remove the rubber piece with the circuit board and set it aside. Now use your finger or screwdriver to gently lift the dead battery out of its compartment.
Step 3
Take a new battery (CR2032) and slide it into place, let it click while ensuring the positive side faces down.
Step 4
Finally, set the rubber buttons back on top and click the front piece of the plastic cover back into place. Ensure the cover clicks securely.
You’re done! You just changed your key fob battery at home.
Test your new remote key battery: unlock and lock your car doors. Did that work fine? Awesome. Now sit back and enjoy your keyless entry remote.

1x CR2032 battery
Flat-head screwdriver
Step 1
First thing, look for a small indentation on the bottom-left side of the key fob (right beside the metal key. Once you locate that, insert a small flathead screwdriver into this slot and turn it like a key. This action will separate the two halves of the key fob.
Step 2
Next, carefully remove the rubber piece with the circuit board inside. Set it aside. This will grant you access to the old battery to be replaced.
Step 3
Now that you are inside, use your screwdriver to carefully remove the old battery. This one’s pretty easy. All you have to do is get your tool under the battery and gently lift it up. The battery will pop right out.
Step 4
Take a new battery and install it into place making certain that the positive side of the battery is facing the positive side of the battery clip.
Step 5
Finally, return the rubber piece to its place and click the face of the key fob back on.
Nice job! You’ve successfully replaced your keyless entry remote. Remember to lock or unlock your vehicle door to test its functionality.

What you will need:
2x CR2016 batteries
Flat-head screwdriver
Step 1
Start by locating the little slot on the bottom right side of the key fob. Found it? Good.
Step 2
Now, insert a flathead screwdriver into the slot and twist until you are able to pry apart the two halves of the device. You should be staring right at the first battery on top now. The second one is underneath the first.
Step 3
Next, use your fingernail or screwdriver to remove both of the batteries. To do this,

Install and click the two new CR2016 batteries into place, one on top of the other, both positive sides facing up. Note that if you replaced the battery the wrong way, your keyless entry remote wouldn’t work.
Step 5
Lastly, all you need to do now is click the two halves of the key fob back together. If you removed a metal key from the key fob, remember to return it.
Congrats! Your brand-new key fob batteries should be working properly now. That keyless entry remote is still possible after all.
