In this video, I will show you how to change the internal battery in a Dodge Challenger key Fob. This key Fob here was used since 2015 all the way up to present day. And it takes just one of these CR 2032 batteries. You can get one of these batteries online. I’ll put a link in the YouTube description to get one on Amazon for just a couple of bucks.

And then you can just follow along, do this yourself at home. It’s really simple. First step, we’re going to turn this thing over, find this little switch on the back, and you just press it down to remove the internal key. Now we can see just click that back in. Now we can see the keyhole, and then beneath it a little slot that’s to open this thing up.

We’re going to put a flathead screwdriver into that slot beneath the keyhole and just gently twist. And you will feel the two parts, two halves start to come apart. You see that opening there? Now I’m going to put the tool in that opening and just twist until the whole thing pops apart. Like, that really easy.

From here, we can just come in on the side with our flathead screwdriver and kind of get under the battery and lift. It’s going to pop right out. I can just pick this up. Okay. Now that it pops out, we have our CR 2032.

Take a new one. Make sure the positive side goes face down, just like this.

Put that down for a second. Make sure it goes in and it clicks into place. Just like that. See, it doesn’t fall out. It’s in there securely.

Now we just click the two halves of the key Fob back together and we are good to go. If you found this video helpful, feel free to give us a like or give us a comment. In this video, I will show you how to change the internal battery in this Dodge Challenger key Fob. This key Fob here was used on Challengers between 2008 and 2014. And it just takes one of these CR 2032 batteries to run. You can get one of these online for just a couple of bucks. I'll put a link down in the description to get one on Amazon and then it's just super easy to follow along.

Change the battery yourself. Don't need to pay anyone to do it, just follow along. First thing is to take a flathead screwdriver or similar tool and write down where this keyring attaches. Can see, I'm going to insert my tool in the seam, kind of right on this corner. There's this little indentation where the keyhole goes and the seam.

And we're going to push in just like that until it kind of sticks in there. See, from here we can just twist, turn like a key and we start to open up the key Fob. Really easy. Don't need to damage anything. Just work your way down the opening.

Now twisting until you feel a kind of click out. And it's really easy to just take that, put it to the side. Now just carefully remove this rubber component here. Set that to the side and look at that. There's our battery.

You can just go under it with the flathead screwdriver and lift it right out because, see, it's a CR 2032. When you're putting your battery back in, make sure that this positive side goes face down just like it was before. And you do need to kind of push it first towards this metal component, get that down into place and then click the other side in. Now we just put it all back together. Carefully put the rubber part back on until it sits there, flush without moving, and then go ahead and click the face of the device back on.

And with that, you're all set. Super easy. Right? If you found this video helpful, go ahead and leave us a like or a comment.
