The Dodge Dart is a line of automobiles marketed by Dodge from the 1959 to 1976 model years in North America, with production extended to later years in various other markets. The Dart nameplate was resurrected for a Fiat-derived compact car that was introduced in 2012.

In this video, I will show you how to change the internal battery in this Dodge Dart key Fob. This key Fob here was used between 2014 and 2016 and takes one CR 2032 battery. It's really easy to change the battery yourself at home. Just follow along and you can pick one of these batteries up online. I will leave a link down in the description to get one on Amazon for just a couple of bucks.

First step, we want to turn this thing over, hold down that little latch there and remove the internal key. Now you can see the keyhole and then above it there's this other area, a little slot that's for opening this thing up. We're going to take a flathead screwdriver, insert it in that area just opposite the keyhole, and you're going to twist, gently twist like that until you've made a little opening between the two halves of the key Fob. And then what I like to do is go in that little seam and just continue twisting until it comes apart very easily and set that to one side. Here we have our battery.

We can just get under it with our fingernail and just kind of lift it up and also use your tool. Just gently get under the battery and kind of with a prying motion, it's lifted up and it will pop. Right now you can see that's a CR 2032. We're going to take a brand new one, make sure this positive side with the text and the battery information goes face down. And first pushing it towards this metal component here, making sure that part goes down.

You can then just click the other side in and it'll stay in there nicely and you know you're all set. Last thing, just click these two pieces back together. Might have to squeeze a bit, apply some pressure just to make sure it lines up and fits together nicely. And once there's no opening in the scene, go ahead and pop this key back in and you are all done. If you found this video helpful, feel free to leave us a like or a comment.

  • Flat-head screwdriver

First, look to the bottom of the device. Notice the seam between the two halves of the key fob. Take your flathead screwdriver and carefully insert it into the seam, wiggling as you push. Once the tool is inside, twist until the two halves of the device pop open.

Now, carefully remove the rubber piece. Next, use your finger or screwdriver to gently lift the battery out of its housing. Take a new CR2032 battery and click it into place positive side down. Finally, set the rubber buttons back on top and click the front piece of plastic back into place. That’s all it takes. In this video, I will show you how to change the internal battery in this Dodge Dart key Fob. This key Fob has been used. It was used between 2013 and 2016. And inside you'll find just one of these CR 2032 batteries. You can do this whole process yourself at home.

You don't need to pay anyone. It's really easy. Get yourself one of these batteries. You can find them online. And I will put a link down in the description to get one on Amazon.

Just a couple of bucks and then just go ahead and follow along. If you want to take something like a flathead screwdriver, we're going to come down here with the keychain, the keyring, and you're going to see this little indentation here. And then the seam between the two halves of the key Fob. You want to gently go into that kind of the corner there between this little indentation and along that seam and just gently press and wiggle the thinner the flathead screw the better or the smaller. And then once you're in there and it kind of sticks in there, all that's up to do is just give a little twist.

Just by turning like a key, we can kind of crack this thing open. And then what I like to do is go down the side, twisting until it comes apart, just like that. Now carefully remove this rubber component with all the buttons on it. And under there we will find the circuit board. Set that to the side.

Here is our battery. You could just lift under with your finger and just pull it up. Same thing. If you want to use your tool, just gently get under it and lift and it will kind of pop out. There's our CR 2032 battery.

Go ahead and take a new one. Make sure this positive side goes face down. And then we're just going to click it into place. First pushing it up into this metal component, kind of getting that in place, and then the other side will just click right in. Really simple.

Now we're just going to put this all back together, align this on top until it sits snugly. Put the face of the key Fob back on and just click it back together. And that is it. We are all set. If you found this video helpful, feel free to leave us a like or a comment.
