  • 1x CR2032 battery
  • Flat-head screwdriver

Step 1

First, look to the bottom of the device where the key ring is. Can you notice the seam where there’s an indentation between the two halves of the key fob?

Step 2

Now, take your flathead screwdriver and carefully insert it into the seam, wiggling as you push. Once the tool is inside, twist until the two halves of the device pop open.

Step 1

Locate the small indentation on the bottom-left side of the key fob. Insert a flathead screwdriver into this slot, and twist. That action should create a little bit of an opening on each side.

Step 2

Now you can just pull each back cover of the key fob apart with your fingers or use the same screwdriver to separate the key fob fully. This way, the two halves of the device will come apart.

Step 3

Next, carefully remove the rubber piece with the buttons on it. Set it aside.
