To change the battery, start by removing the internal key. Hold down the small button on the front of the key fob and pull out the key. Directly next to the keyhole is a slot or indentation that we can use to open the fob. Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the slot and twist. The two pieces of plastic that make up the case of the device will come apart. Now we have access to the battery.

Use your precision screwdriver, or another thin tool, to pry out the battery. Do this by inserting the tool next to the battery all the way down to the bottom, and pulling back away from the battery. With this prying motion, the battery will pop out. Now, take a new CR2032 battery and click it into place, face-down. Finally, put the device back together by clicking the two halves together. Test the battery by clicking a button to see if the red light comes on. That’s it, if the light comes on, you’re good to go! Nice work.
