A mid-size crossover SUV, the Hyundai Veracruz was only produced for about 5 years. In that time, it had just two key fob options, including the most rare of Hyundai remotes, the “Triangular” smart remote. It’s other fob option was the “4-Button Leather Strap” key fob.

What you will need:
• 1x CR2032 battery
• Flat-head screwdriver
It’s very easy to open up this Hyundai Veracruz key fob and change the battery at home. First, find the indentation on the top of the key fob. Take your flat-head screwdriver, insert it into the indentation, and gently twist. The two pieces of the plastic body will come apart.
Next, use your screwdriver to gently push on the bottom of the battery until you can remove it with your fingers. Take a new CR2032 battery, make sure it’s face-up, and slide it under the piece of metal back into place. Now, you can simply click together the two pieces of the key fob. If you did everything correctly, the red light on the front of the key fob will turn on.
