In this quick tutorial, I will show you how to change the internal battery in a Kia Sedona Key Fob. This key Fob is used between 2015 and 2021 and it takes one CR 2032 battery. The first step to opening this thing up is to turn it over and hold down this button here. While you hold, you pull out the internal key. You can set that to the side.

Here we can see the keyhole and opposite that, an indentation. Excuse me. Go ahead, take a flathead screwdriver, insert it into that indentation and twist. Now you can see we've started to open up the device. We can just pull it apart with our fingers.

Set this to the side. Now here we have our 2032 battery. We're going to take the same tool and just coming in from the bottom, we're going to lift it up with a prying motion. You can get under the battery and lift it up like that. Now take a brand new CR 2032 battery.

Make sure it goes positive side down, just like this. Click it right into place.

Make sure your circuit board here is nicely positioned just like that. And then you're going to set this on top and click it all back together. Pop your key back in there and you will be ready to go. In this quick tutorial, I'll show you how to change the internal battery in a Kia Sedona key Fob. If you clicked on this video, you probably saw the device with five or six buttons on the front here. This one has four. There are a couple of ones that look exactly like this. They have the flipping key but with different numbers of buttons.

Don't worry, it's the same device, same process. Just follow along. The first thing you're going to do is to open up this internal key. And now if you look at the back here, we have this section of plastic. We're actually going to go in where that key just came from and push up that section of plastic.

You can hold onto this piece because that's not going to move. And you just push that open. And if that is a little bit difficult, maybe the plastic is too tight. There, you can take a flathead screwdriver, another key or even a coin and insert it into this area. Hold the top, just gently pry it off like that.

Now here's the battery that you will need. It's a CR 2032 battery. What we're going to do is use the same kind of a tool. And what we want to do is just get in between the battery and this plastic housing. So go ahead and coming in on the bottom side, just try to wiggle your tool in there gently to lift out this battery and get a brand new CR 2032 battery.

Make sure this positive side is facing up and you can just slide it into place and click it in super easy. And all we have to do now is just put this little piece back on and we are all set and ready to go. I hope this video helped you guys out. In this video, I'll show you how to change the internal battery in a Kia Sedona key Fob. If you have a Sedona that was made between 2006 and 2014, you are most likely using this device. And inside it we will find one CR 2032 battery that we will be changing today. It's really easy.

Just follow along. First thing we're going to do is come up to the top of the device where you can see there's a little indentation going to take a flathead screwdriver or a coin inserted into that area and twist. So you hear a little pop and you can see we have started to open this thing up. Just pull it apart with your fingers. Or you can kind of work your way in twisting until it comes apart nice and easy like that.

Now you can set this to the side. Sometimes this thing kind of falls off. So I'll show you how to put that back on at the end. And here we have our battery. We're just going to push it up actually with our tool going to push the battery carefully up.

Where does it come out? Okay, we're going to push it. If you're holding the device this way, the battery comes out like that. So you can actually come in from the side here and push it up. Try to get it over this little wall of plastic here of rubber, and then just pull out the battery with your fingers.

There it is, 2032 battery. And when you have a new one and you're going to put it back in, make sure this positive side goes face up. And you'll just slide it in place and make sure it goes all the way until it's nice and secure in there. And what we're going to do now is turn this over, take this little metal part here and you can see there are some teeth along this edge that line up with the little grooves in this piece of metal. And you'll find that it kind of just finds where it wants to go.

And it sits in there nicely like that. Now you can hold this, click the back, back into place, make sure everything looks nice and it's all lined up. And that is all it's it takes. Your device is not working again. So I hope this video helped you guys out.
