How to Change the “Circular Button” Key Fob Battery in a Kia Sorento
Total Time: 3 minutes
1. Press button, pull emergency key gently

Turn your key fob over to the back. Locate the button, hold it down, and gently pull the mechanical key (also known as the emergency key).
2. Open key fob with screwdriver

There is a little slot opposite the keyhole. Get your flathead screwdriver inside this indentation and turn it like a key until the key fob starts to open up. Keep turning gently to completely separate the two sides of the key fob.
3. Separate board, keep cover with battery

Now set aside the circuit board in the key fob and hold on to the cover with the battery.
4. Remove dead battery with screwdriver corner

The next thing is to get the dead battery out. Insert the corner of your flathead screwdriver inside to pry out the old battery.
5. Insert new CR2032 battery, positive down

Now slide your new battery in place with the positive side facing down.
6. Reassemble, insert key

Lastly, return the circuit board, click the back covers together, and put the mechanical key in the keyhole.
Great job. Time for that keyless entry again!
