The small compact xA by Scion was only produced for a few years, but has a cult following of sorts. The model only has one key fob type, a remote entry no integrated key, 2-button fob. It takes a small CR2016 key battery. Here’s my guide to all Scion key batteries. This is my guide to replacing the battery in the xA key fob.[table “18responsivestack” not found /]
How to replace the xA (2004-2006) key fob battery
The key to opening the fob is the small notch on the top of the remote. You’ll need a flathead screwdriver to leverage the two parts of the fob apart at this point.
Here’s a quick video I made on how to replace the battery:
- Pack of (2) CR2016 lithium coin cell replacement batteries for small electronic devices
- Powers devices such as watches, calculators, sporting goods, games, medical devices, and more
- Long-lasting, reliable battery life; performs in extreme temperatures
