1. Disassemble key fob using screwdriver

Hold down the little switch on the key fob and pull out the page key. Locate the little plastic indents across the keyhole and insert a flathead screwdriver into it, twist and the fob key will come apart in halves.

2. Use screwdriver to remove battery

Remove the inner piece and set the fob case with buttons aside. Put a small precision screwdriver into the hole above the key battery. Taking the screwdriver into the slot will allow the old battery will pop out.

3. Insert new CR2032 battery with positive up

Put in a new battery with the positive side facing up and the battery will enter easily. After you have replaced the battery, carefully place the inner piece into the casing with the battery facing the back casing. Assemble the front casing and press round to pop the fob key back in place.

You can lock, unlock and open your trunk seamlessly.

What you will need:

  • Select a CR1620 battery
  • Flat-head screwdriver
  • Precision screwdriver

Step 1

To start the process of replacing an old battery, look at the base of the key with the valet or page key for some indents o the plastic. After locating the indents, insert a flathead screwdriver into the dents around the plastic and twist.

Step 2

After you twist, the back cover with buttons will pop out to reveal the battery cover. The battery cover looks like a disk.

Step 3

Refuse the urge to screw out the disk! Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry into the center of the disk, pull up slightly and the battery cover will remove to reveal the fob key battery.

Step 4

Use a tiny precision screwdriver to pry at the hole just below the battery and the low-key battery will pop out. Put a new battery into the battery hole and press down slightly to ensure it stays in place.

Step 5

It’s time to reassemble! Push the battery cover into the buttonhole and return the fob case back to place. Press the fob key round lightly to ensure a snug fit.

Your car key is now back to normal!

What you will need:

  • 1x CR2032 battery
  • Flat-head screwdriver

Step 1

Look on the side of the key fob remote and find the button that reads “push” . Push down the button and pull out the page key.

Step 2:

Put a flathead screwdriver into the slot perpendicular to the keyhole, twist, and remove. The key fob will come apart in halves to reveal an inner piece with the battery after you twist it.

Step 3

Set the casing aside because you are going to be working with the inner piece. Insert the flathead screwdriver behind the battery, give it a slight push and the low or dead battery will pop out.

P.S avoid touching the back of the inner piece

Step 4

Put in the new battery with the positive side (the side with the plus sign) up and slightly press it down to make sure the battery stays in place.

Step 5

Now, place the inner piece into the back casing. Let the battery sit into the circle on the back casing. Then, place them into the front casing, slightly press down and the fob key will pop right into place. Check round to see that all sides are in place and return the valet key back into the key slot.

You can now lock and unlock your car door with ease.

Step 1

Flip the remote to the back and put a flathead screwdriver into the slot at the top of the key fob. Find the slot just where the key ring attaches to the fob key. Twist the screwdriver while holding the valet key and the fob key will come apart in halves.

Step 2

Carefully remove the little compartment in the valet key. Set the remote fob key casing with the buttons down and focus your attention on the inner piece.

Step 3

Put a flathead screwdriver into the little space between the black plastic and the wall of clear plastic on the inner piece. Twist the screwdriver and the inner piece will pop open to reveal the key battery.

Step 4

Get the flathead screwdriver under the battery, give it a light push and the low battery will pop out. Now put in the new one with the positive side facing up.

Step 5

After you have replaced the battery, assemble the inner piece back together and carefully place it into the casings of the fob key. Now, carefully press round the fob key to snap the key back into place.

Test the key. Try to lock and unlock your car door and trunk.

Step 1

Invert the remote so that it is towards the back, then insert a screwdriver with a flat head into the slot at the top of the key fob. The slot is the place on the fob key where the key ring attaches to the key. Turning the screwdriver in the opposite direction while holding the valet key will cause the fob key to open in two.

Step 2

Take care to remove the small compartment that is included in the valet key. Put the key fob case with buttons down, and concentrate on the inner piece.

Step 3

Insert a screwdriver with a flat head into the little space on the inner piece that is located between the black plastic and the wall made of transparent plastic. Turning the screwdriver in a clockwise direction will cause the inner component to pop open, exposing the key fob battery.

Step 4

Put the screwdriver with the flat head under the battery, and then give it a light push to remove the low-key battery. At this point, you should insert the new battery so that the positive terminal is facing upward.

Step 5

Reassemble the inner piece by putting the component back together and carefully inserting it into its casings. Now, press round the fob key remote gently to snap the key back into place.

Check the remote, bet the lock works fine now.

What you will need:

  • 1x CR1632 battery
  • Flat-head screwdriver

Step 1

Search for the button with “push” on the side of the fob key remote and press it. Remove the valet key while holding down the button.

Step 2

Insert a screwdriver with a flat head into the slot that is perpendicular to the keyhole. After giving it a twist, the key fob will split in half, exposing the circuit board that houses the battery.

Step 3

You are going to be dealing with the circuit board, so put the casing to the side for the time being. Simply remove the battery by sliding the flathead screwdriver behind it, giving it a small push, and pulling it out from its slot.

Step 4

Place the new battery in its slot with the positive side facing up (the side that bears the plus symbol), and then give it a little tap to ensure that it doesn’t move once it’s in place.

Step 5

At this point, you should insert the circuit board into the back case. The battery should be placed inside the circle on the rear of the shell. After that, simply insert them into the front shell of the fob key, give it a gentle nudge, and the fob key will click into place. Check the round to ensure that all of the sides are in their proper places.

Now replace the valet key in its slot.

Search the edge of the fob key for little indentation marks. Put a flathead screwdriver into the indents area, give it a little twist and the fob key will come apart to reveal the battery.

Step 2

Put a little pressure at the bottom of the battery by pressing it with your thumbnail and the battery will pop out. Make sure the positive side is facing up when you fix in the new battery.

Step 3

Place the cover of the fob key back on and press round to ensure a snug fit.

Your key will work just fine now.

Put a flathead screwdriver into the slot at the top of the fob key and twist. The fob key will crack open to reveal the battery.

Step 2

Put the corner of a flathead screwdriver into the small space right above the battery. Use the screwdriver to poke behind the battery and the battery will come off.

Step 3

Now slide in a new battery with the positive side facing up. Click the two halves of the fob key back together and they’ll pop back into place.
