In this tutorial, I will show you how to open up your Toyota Tundra key Fob to replacement the internal battery at home. This is a very easy process, but you will need just one of these CR 2032 batteries that powers the this device. If you don't know where to get one of those or you would just like to get one online, I will put a link down in the description so you can pick one up on Amazon for just a couple of bucks. Now the first step to opening this thing up is just holding down this button on the side, hold that down and pull the internal key out. Now you can see that is the keyhole.

And right next to it we have a little perpendicular slot. We're just going to put a regular flathead screwdriver into that little area and twist that will crack open the device. And you can just take this part, set that to the side. And now we are just going to gently lift out this circuit board because on the other side we have the battery and we want to hold it from the sides here. Try not to touch the back too much.

You don't want to mess anything up back there. We're just going to use the very same tool to pry this battery out. So right here, up at the top, you can see there's a little area where we can kind of get behind the battery. I'm just going to insert the corner of my tool in. And once you get it in there, you're just going to push a little bit wiggling and it will slide behind the battery and it will come right out.

So once more, this is a CR 2032 battery. Make sure when you're putting your new battery in, the positive side goes face up. So you want to see once you click it in there, you want to see that plus sign face up. Now putting it all back together, we have this back piece of plastic and in there you can see that little circle in the plastic. The battery is going to go face down right on top of that circle.

So set that in circuit board will be facing up and then we will just simply click these two pieces back together. So set it on there and just give it a squeeze and put your key back in there as well and you are finished and good to go. I hope that video helped you out and if it did, feel free to let me know down in the comments or just by giving this video a like so it can reach more people and help them too. In this quick tutorial, I will show you how to open up your Toyota Tundra key Fob to replace the internal battery at home. This is a very simple process, but you will need just one of these CR 2016 batteries. If you don't know where to get, get one of those or you would just like to get one online. I will put a link down in the description so you can get one on Amazon for just a couple of bucks. And then you can just go ahead and follow along.

The first step is to look up on the top of the device where the keyring attaches. There is this little indentation in the plastic. We're going to take a regular flathead screwdriver and insert it in there and twist to open this up. But make sure the back of the device is facing up. When you do this, you don't want the buttons facing up because these little plastic buttons will fall out.

So let's go ahead. I'll show you that putting the tool into the opening and twisting it will crack this open and we can just pull the back off there. And now you can lift out this component. See, here are the batteries and they are loose in there. Sorry, the buttons are loose and there could just set that down carefully so they don't fall out.

Now you can just look at the little instructions on the back. It says use coin to open and it points right there. We're going to use the same flathead screwdriver because we already have it out. But feel free to use a coin if you prefer. And we're just inserting it into this opening right under this black plastic and just twisting again.

And it will crack open very easily. And you can just open it up with your fingers. And once more, with the very same tool, we are going to pry the battery out. So I'm going to insert it behind the battery up on the top here. And you can see how easy that just popped out.

Let me show you that once more. I'm just putting my flathead screwdriver behind the battery and I'm going to put my thumb on top so it doesn't fly out, just push down, get behind and push down and it comes out very easily. This is a CR 2016 battery, just to reiterate that. And if you don't know where to get that, check the link in the description. It'll be right there for you.

And make sure when you're putting the battery in, the new battery in the positive side goes face up. So we're going to click that in there. Plus sign facing up. And now we just need to put it all back together. So this on top of there, squeeze it together.

And now just carefully pick this up so the buttons don't fall out and set that right on top. It will slide down or you push it down in there and sit securely and you can just finally click the back on there and that is really all it takes. I hope that was simple enough and I hope that helped you out and if you ever need help with another one of your key Fob we have tutorials here on YouTube for pretty much every device from every maker model and you can also see all that information and more over at our website fobbattery.com.

You may have a device that looks just like this, but it has three buttons instead of four. Here. They're actually a couple of different versions of this particular device that have even up to six buttons. Don't worry if yours looks like this, it's going to be the same exact process.

It's going to use the same battery and everything like that. So just follow along. Once again, this is super easy. You could also use a coin, but we're just inserting it in and twisting that will crack this thing open can kind of dump out this little rubber component and you can see behind there we have the battery. Now you just slide the battery right out with your finger comes out very easily and now we can replace it. So when you're putting your new 2032 battery in there, make sure the positive side goes face up.

You can see there's a little indentation in the plastic. Just insert your flathead screwdriver into there and twist. Just hold the device kind of loosely in your hand and twist and you'll hear it crack open and you can just then pull it apart with your fingers. And from here all we need to do is just very lightly push on the bottom of the battery and it will pop right out. Let me show you that once again I'm just pushing on the bottom and the top will snap out and then you can just remove it like that.

Once again, CR 2016 battery. Make sure that's what you're using and when you put it back in, when you put your new battery in, rather make sure the positive side goes face up. So you're just sliding that in, pushing it down until it sits securely and you want to see that plus sign facing up. All we have to do now is click the two halves of the device back together and we are done. So I hope that was helpful for you and if it was, feel free to let me know down in the comments section or by just giving this video a like.

In this quick tutorial, I will show you how to open up your Toyota Tundra Key Fob to replace the internal battery at home. This is a really easy process. You'll just need a regular flathead screwdriver and one of these CR 2025 batteries to get it done. If you'd like to get one of those batteries online, I will leave a link down in the description so you can get one on Amazon for just a couple of bucks. Now the first step is just to look up at the top of the device and you can see there's that little slot in the plastic.

We're going to insert our flathead screwdriver in there and twist and the device will crack open and you can just set the back to the side for now. And if you're looking at where the battery is housed, you can see that little opening in the corner there. We are going to insert a tool in there to just pry the battery out. You can do it with a regular flathead screwdriver. I have done it before, but it'll be kind of tricky and you might Ding up that little part of the plastic there.

So I'd recommend using a smaller screwdriver, ideally something even like this. This is what I'll be using. This is just a little precision screwdriver. You could also use a thick paper clip or Bobby pin or something like that. We're just going to insert into that area, push down and pry the battery out.

And if you have something that can fit in there, it's just super easy. So I do recommend that. And if you wanted to get something like this or if nothing's working, nothing you have lying around the house is working, I would recommend this. This is what I'm using and it's just a couple of sizes of precision screwdrivers. This is just a couple of bucks on Amazon.

So I will leave that link down there in the description if you are interested. And so once more we're just pushing into that area and prying the battery out can now get rid of the old battery. Take your new one, make sure the positive side is going face up and you will just slide it down and click it right into there. Very simple. And of course we're just going to finish this up by clicking the two halves back together and you can test to make sure it's working.

The light will come on and that means you did everything correctly and your battery is charged and you are good to go. So I hope that was helpful for you. And if it was, feel free to let me know down in the comment section or just by giving this video a like.
