In this video I will show you how to change the internal battery in a Hyundai Tucson key Fob. This key Fob was used between 2014 and 2019 and uses a CR 2032 battery. Changing your battery can be done at home. It's very simple. All you'll need is a flathead screwdriver and a CR 2032 battery.

If you'd like to get one of these online, I will leave a link in the description to get one on Amazon. They're just a couple of bucks and they'll come right to your door. Then you can follow along and have a new battery in here in no time. First step, press this button on the bottom of the key Fob to remove your internal key. Now we can see this hole that the key just came from and to the side of it just a slot.

We're going to insert a flathead screwdriver into this slot and twist to open the key fob. So position it in there until you feel it sort of locked in place. And then you can just twist and with a little force, you will start to separate the two halves of the key Fob. I'm going to put my flathead screwdriver in that little opening and work my way down, twisting until I can easily remove it. Separate the two halves with my fingers.

Put that to the side for now. In here there is the battery in this little plastic housing and you can't really take it out with your fingers. If you have a smaller screwdriver, you can probably pry it out. I'm going to use a precision screwdriver like this. You can get a pack of these on Amazon.

They're just a couple of bucks. So I'll leave a link in the description if you like to get some of those. Otherwise you can use a toothpick, maybe pen or pencil if you're careful. But this is going to help us to get it out safely without scratching it. When it come to the top right here and there's this little opening in the plastic going to put my tool all the way down to the bottom.

Try to get under the battery and kind of wiggle and pry and the battery just pops out. Go ahead and get a new CR 2032 battery. And when you're putting it in, make sure this positive side with the battery information goes down and position it into the housing here. Kind of pushing it down first into this metal component. Before clicking the top into place, position it.

Push on the top or in the center of the battery and it will click right in where it needs to be. Make sure this circuit board and the little rubber thing, if it comes out like this, this part just goes down here. Just gently position it and then you can put your battery on top and just click everything back together and your light will come on. If your battery has juice and you do everything correctly you can just throw your battery your internal key back in and you're done so if this video helped you out feel free to leave a like and for more information click the link in the description to go to fobbattery.com to see the entire guide on the Hyundai Tucson thank you so much for watching.

You’ll need a small flat-head screwdriver to pop open the outer case it two spots. Be careful to pop open both spots! If you just try to pry open one side, you’ll likely break the plastic on the key fob as you can see I did on my first attempt:

Once you have the fob plastic shell open, there are two small Phillips screws to remove to get access to the battery. Once you’ve removed those, take your small flat-head and pry out the CR2032 battery. Put in a fresh new CR2032 coin battery and you’re all set! Screw back on the battery cover and pop the outer plastic shell back in place and you’re all set. You’ve successfully replaced the battery in your Hyundai Tucson key fob! Great work!

It’s very easy to change the battery in this Hyundai Tucson key fob. Look at the top of the key fob, above the light. There is a slot there that we can use to open the device. Take a flat-head screwdriver, insert it into the slot, and twist. The key fob will pop open, giving you access to the battery.

Now, just use your screwdriver to push on the bottom of the battery. Push until the battery is loose enough to remove with your fingers. Take a brand-new CR2032 battery and push it into place, face-up, under the metal housing until it’s snugly in place. Finally, click the two halves of the key fob back together. Test your battery by pushing a button on the key fob, if the light comes on, you did everything right and you’re good to go. Nice work!

In this video, I will show you how to change the internal battery in a Hyundai Tucson Key Fob. If your key Fob has two buttons or looks a little bit different than this one, don't worry, it's going to be the same process as changing this one and just follow along. Super simple. You'll have your battery changing in no time. The two button Hyundai Tucson key Fob was used on models between 2005 2015 and uses a CR 2032 battery.

Changing your internal battery is very easy. You can do it at home. All you'll need is a flathead screwdriver and one of these battery. I've left a link in the description if you'd like to get one on Amazon. They are just a couple of bucks and then you can follow along.

So let's start just by looking to the top of your key Fob. For this little slot, go ahead and take a flathead screwdriver, insert it in just like this and twist and the two halves will start to separate with a little click and you can open this up. Now, your battery, excuse me, is going to be held down by a little piece of metal and you're going to take a tool like your flathead screwdriver and push on the bottom.

Just gently push on the bottom of the battery until it's coming out enough that you can remove it with your fingers. Okay. Now go ahead and take a new CR 2032 battery. Make sure the positive side with the battery information is facing up like this and go ahead and just slide that back into place. Make sure this circuit board is inside of its little rubber housing and you'll just click the two halves back together and the light will come on showing you that you did everything right and your battery has juice in it and that's really all it takes.
