The Jeep Renegade is a subcompact crossover SUV that was first sold in 2014. The Renegade makes up for its slightly lower fuel-efficiency with more robust off-road capabilities that beat out the competition.

In this video, I'm going to show you how to change the internal battery in a Jeep renegade key Fob. This key Fob was used on Renegade from 2015 all the way up to a modern day. And it takes just one CR 2032 battery. You could change your battery at home. Super easy.
Just you could pick one of these up online. Don't need to go to the hardware store or anything. I left a link in the description to get one on Amazon. They are just a couple of bucks. And then you can go ahead and follow along.
First step, flip over the key Fob. See this little lever here? This button? Press that to remove your internal key. Now here's the keyhole.
And then there's this little slot that we can use to open up the key Fob with a flathead screwdriver coin, something that fits in there that we can hold firmly, gently twist with very little force. Just go easy on it. You will start to open this up. I like to then just work my way down through that seam. That opening.
Keep twisting until it comes free very easily, just like that. Now we just have to take something else. I'm just going to use the same tool and get under the battery. And you'll see it just flies out like that. Take a new CR 2032 battery.
Make sure this positive side goes face down. Go ahead and position it first, pushing it towards this metal component, getting that in place for clicking down the other side. And that's really all it takes. We're just going to click these two halves back together, make sure it all goes back into place. Might have to squeeze by a little bit of pressure here.
Put your key back in and you're all set. Super simple. If you found this video helpful, feel free to leave a like or comment and for more information on changing batteries of key Fob. For nearly every maker model, visit fobbattery.com and thank you so much for watching.
