In this quick tutorial, I will show you how to open up your Toyota Highlander key Fob to change the internal battery at home. It's a really easy process. You will just need one of these CR 2032 batteries. If you would like to get one of those online. There will be a link down in the description to get one of those on Amazon for just a couple of bucks.

Now let's get right into this. We want to look on the side or on the bottom rather there's this little switch on the bottom of the key Fob. You want to hold that down and pull out the internal key. Now looking inside there you can see this larger hole is the keyhole. And here we're going to use a flathead screwdriver to open this.

So here is the keyhole. And then perpendicular to it there is this other little slot that is where we want to insert a flathead screwdriver. And we are going to twist just to crack this thing open. Won't damage anything. Don't worry, just insert your flathead screwdriver into that area, hold the device loosely and just twist your key Fob takes very little force and this thing will open right up for you.

Now you can flip this over to dump out this little component that houses the battery. Set these to the side for now. And you can see there is this little indentation right up there in the corner. That is where we want to insert a tool like a flathead screwdriver and get under there to pry the battery up. Now you can just kind of use the corner of your large flathead screwdriver.

You may end up kind of scratching this thing up. So a little bit better to use a smaller tool, I'm going to use this little tiny precision screwdriver. You could just work it out with your regular screwdriver. Or you could use paperclip, toothpick, Bobby pin, something like that that fits in here. And once you get under, you're just pushing down to the bottom and just prying the battery out.

Pop right out like that. Super easy. So it takes a little force. Put your finger on the battery to prevent it from flying out and you're just prying back and it'll click out. So there we go.

That is a CR 2032. And if you don't know where to get that, remember to check the link down in the description. And when we are putting the battery back in or putting the new battery in, we want this positive side to be facing up. So go ahead and just click that battery into place. See that plus sign face up.

And now we can put this all back together. So you see this little circle here on the inside of the back of this device? Just set the battery facing down on top of that. And this will sit in place nicely. And now you can just put this part on top and click it all back together and there we go.

Put the internal key back in and you can check make sure it's working you will see that light come on that means you did everything right and your battery is charged and good to go so if that video helped you out feel free to let me know down in the comments and remember if you ever need help with another one of yours or key Fob we do have tutorials here on YouTube fob pretty much every maker model you could think of so go check those out or you can visit us directly at fobbattery.com.

In this video, I will show you how to open up your Toyota Highlander key Fob to change the internal battery at home. It's a very easy process. You will just need one of these CR 2032 batteries to get it done. If you'd like to get one of those online I will leave a link down in the description to get one of them on Amazon for just a couple of bucks. And then we could just get right into this.

So look on the side of the device. You can see that button says push. You want to hold that down and pull out the internal key. Right here we see this vertical line. That's the keyhole.

And perpendicular to it, there's this little horizontal line. That is what we want to use to open up the device. So take a regular flathead screwdriver, insert it into that area. Just hold the device loosely and twist, twist your screwdriver and this thing will crack open. Can I set this to the side and just kind of dump out this little circuit board here?

Pretty easy to remove this. We want to just put our flathead screwdriver in between the battery and the plastic behind it. So kind of use the corner, hold this thing firmly from the sides. Don't touch the circuit board too much there. And you want to just put a finger on top and just slowly push down.

Just applying pressure, kind of wiggling. And you will feel it slide under the battery. And from there it will just pop out as you just saw. So we'll do that again for you. Just wiggling and it will pop out pretty easy.

Again, this is a CR 2032 battery. And when you put your new battery in, make sure the positive side, the one with the plus on, it does go face up. And then you can just click that in there. Taking this back piece of the device, you see that circle there? That is actually where we're going to put the battery.

It's going to touch that circle. So go ahead and put the battery face down on top of that circuit board, face up. And then you can just click this right on top of there and just put your internal key back in there and you are good to go. I hope this video does help you out. And if it did, feel free to let me know in the comments.

In this quick tutorial, I will show you how to open up your Toyota Highlander key Fob to change the internal battery at home. This is a very easy process. You'll just need a regular flathead screwdriver and one of these CR 2016 batteries. The first 1st step here is to look to where the keyring attaches. You can see there's a little slot right along the seam of the plastic there.

We're actually going to hold this thing. So the back is facing up. So the Toyota symbol is facing up. Make sure to keep it that way. And then we're going to insert our flathead screwdriver in there and just twist the screwdriver.

Okay, just giving a little twist, turning like a key. And this back piece will come off and just continue holding it like I'm showing you right now. And pull up this little component here that houses the battery. See, these little buttons are not attached in here. If you flip it upside down, they'll all go falling out.

It will be pretty annoying to put back in. So just set that down carefully. And from here, we just want to look to this little part. You can see there is a space between this black plastic and this little clear area. So go ahead and insert your flathead screwdriver or a coin into that area.

And you just want to twist, just twisting. And this thing will start to come apart and you can pull it apart with your fingers.

From here, we do want to use the same tool. And we are coming in on the top and we're just going to kind of push this little rubber part out of the way and we're going to get under the battery and pry it out. So go ahead and get under there. You actually more of like pushing it in and it will unclick show you that again. So you see these two little pieces of plastic.

We just want to click this battery past those two. So get behind the battery and just push and it will click out like that. So again, this is a CR 2016 battery. If you do not know where to get one of those, check the link in the description that will take you to Amazon and you can get one. And it's the exact battery that you need for this particular device.

Make sure the battery, the new battery is going in positive side up. So you want to see that plus sign when you click this back in. And it does go in there pretty easily.

See that plus sign facing up. And now we can just put everything back together. So click these two back together carefully. Lift this up and you just want to set this with these kind of little buttons here facing down. So the black side facing up, of course.

And you just click the back on there. And that's pretty much it not too difficult. I hope that did help you out and if it did feel free to let me know down in the comments and if you ever need help with another one of your key Fob we've got tutorials here on YouTube for pretty much every maker model that you can't think of. So go ahead and check those out or you can visit us directly at fobbattery.com.

In this video, I will show you how to open up your Toyota Highlander key Fob to change the internal battery at home. It's a very easy process. You will just need a regular flathead screwdriver and one of these CR 1632 batteries. If you don't have know where to get one of these or you would just like to pick one up online. I'll leave a link in the description to get one on Amazon for just a couple of bucks.

The first step here is to look on the side of the device. You can see there's that little button that says push. Hold that down and pull out the internal key. Now you can see this larger hole is the keyhole. And then there is this little slot in the plastic that is perpendicular to the keyhole.

We're going to insert our flathead screwdriver into that area, hold the device loosely and just twist the screwdriver. Okay, now go ahead and pull these out. You can set this to the side under this circuit board or as a part of the circuit board. We have our battery. It's all housed right there.

So pull that out. And we can use the corner of the same flathead screwdriver to go in in this little top corners part that you see right there. And we're just going to go in and pull or pry the battery out. So just get under there and just a little bit of force. It comes flying right out.

Show you that again. So put your thumb on top of the battery so it doesn't go too far and just get under there. Gently pry the battery out. This is a 1632 battery just to reiterate that. And when you're putting the battery in, I want you to put the positive side facing up.

So we want to see that plus sign facing up and we just click it into place and we can go about putting it all back together. So you see this little circle on the back piece of the device. We're going to put the battery facing down, right on top of that. So you will see the circuit board facing up. And then we can just set this back on top of there and click it all back together.

Put your key back in there. Don't forget to do that and you are ready to go. I hope this video helped you out and if it did, feel free to let me know.
