All right, in this video, I'm going to show you how to replace the coin key Fob battery for Ford Edge. And this is kind of more modern Fob that was used in 2017 to present day. So if your Fob looks like this, go ahead and flip it over and see the back here. The first thing only want to do is to press the valet key button, which is right here on the top. So press that and remove the internal valet key.

Then go ahead and flip the Fob over. And on the back here, there's kind of two points where you can get some leverage underneath. You need to pop off this backing here. Actually, the easiest way is just take the valet key, get into that point there, and kind of pry off the back here. And the contact points to keep this in place are right here at the top.

Pop those off, and you'll be able to pop off the back here. And this will give you access to the internal CR 2450 battery that you need to replace. Now to pop this thing out. There's kind of a small hole here.

I would say if you have a small flathead screwdriver that works great or even a pay per click, you got to get some leverage underneath here to pop this battery out. And again, this is CR 2450 I'll put a link on where you can grab one of these online. So pop in a new one to press that down, make sure the positive side is facing up towards you.

The positive side has the lettering on it and the positive sign there. And then to put the back on, make sure in place, there's a little notch here. Place that in first and then pop on. And just to press that and that'll stick back on there. Pop in the valet key, and boom, there you go.

You've replaced the key Fob battery on your Ford Edge.

All right, in this video, I'm going to show you how to replacement the key Fob battery in a Ford Edge Smart Fob. And this was used from 2011 to 2015. Ok. So let's it's kind of a slimmer, longer key Fob. First thing I'll do is turn the back here, and you can see there's kind of a little latch.

And if you pull this towards you in this direction, you can pull out this valet key. So go ahead and pull out the valet key. And what we need to do is we need to separate this backing into two parts. There's kind of a line that goes all the way around the key here. And if you look at the top here, we've pulled out the valet key.

There's two little spots we can kind of get some leverage. Basically, we need to pop off this vacuum. So if you don't have, like a small, little flathead screwdriver like this, this works best for kind of getting underneath and being able to pry off the back. But if you don't have one of these, you actually just take the valet key and pop it into those two spots on the edge there. You can get some leverage underneath and just kind of keep working a little bit.

And you can see it start to get some edge here. And then this will be able to pop this off. You see this internal circuit board. Don't do anything with that. Let me flip this over.

The battery that you need to change is here. And you can see it's. The negative side is up right now. And there's a little plastic or a little metal casing right there. Make sure to leave that in when you pop this out.

So if you have a little paper clip or a small flathead screwdriver, you can get to the battery here that you need to replace. And the battery is a CR 2032 3 volt battery. So when you get a new one of these, I'll link to where you can grab one of those on Amazon. Just make sure to put the positive side down. The positive side has all the lettering on it.

So put that down away from you and make sure that engages that metal piece there. Once you have the new battery in, this just pops back on. Just kind of line it up here and make sure that everything pops back in. Replace the valet key. And that's how you change the Fob battery on a Ford Edge.

And again, it's CR 2032 coin battery.

You’ll need a bit of elbow grease to replace this CR2032 battery, but with a twist and some prying, you can pull apart the two pieces of this fob to access the battery to change. Here’s my video showing how to do it quickly:

Alright. So in this video, I'm going to show you how to change the key Fob battery for a Ford Edge. And this Fob was used from 2007 models to 2015. So the battery is inside this key here, this remote. And what we need to do is separate this into two pieces.

If you look at the side, there's kind of a line that goes all the way around this key. Now, to actually separate this, what you need to do is basically get some leverage between the two pieces. And the way to do that is there's a little notch right in the corner, the upper right corner here. If you look at the key right this corner right here, if you take a look at the side there, there's a little notch. And what I found the easiest is you take a flathead screwdriver or even just another key, get into that notch and then just twist it and you'll be able to get some separation between those two pieces.

And then also where the keyring might be attached, you can get in there and get some good separation as well. And this will take some work, but build a pry apart those two pieces. And on the main side of the Fob here, you may find this is covered by this little rubber piece. Just go ahead and remove that. You can place it in a spot back on the covering if you'd like.

Basically, it just kind of helps keep the battery in place. So you see the CR 2032 battery that will just fall right out if you flip it over like that. So grab a new CR 2032. Make sure the positive side is towards you. Positive side has the lettering there.

When you place that back in place, that there. And then go ahead and just pop this back on. And there you go. It'll snap back into place. And that's how you change the battery in Ford Edge for this key Fob.

And again, the battery here was the CR 2032.
