1. Press button, remove valet key

Flip the key to the back. Press the small button behind the key and pop out the valet key.

2. Push tab, remove battery cover

Check for a little tab beside the valet keyhole. Found it? Now push the tab with a small flathead screwdriver, and the battery cover will come off.

3. Use screwdriver to remove battery

You’d have access to the battery as soon as the cover comes off. Use the same flathead screwdriver to pop out the old battery gently.

4. Insert new CR2450 battery with positive side up

Install the new battery into the battery hole with the positive side(the part with texts) facing up.

5. Reassemble key fob

You will need:

  • two CR2025 batteries

  • a flathead screwdriver

Step 1

Flip the fob key over, and locate the little button behind the key. Compress the button with your finger and screwdriver. Press down the button until the back cover becomes loose and you get some leverage. Then open up the back cover.

Step 2

The back cover will open up to show the valet key. Check above the valet key for an indentation line at the edge of the key. Stick a flathead screwdriver into the line pry and push till the fob key comes apart in two halves.

Step 3

You’d have access to the dead batteries as soon as the key comes apart. This key remote uses two batteries. Use a flathead screwdriver to pop out the first dead battery. A little piece of metal and plastic separates the two batteries.

Step 4

Now install the new batteries. Gently raise the metal and place in the first battery. Replace the metal and tiny plastic and put the second battery with the positive side facing down.

Step 5

Gently replace the two halves back into place. Press round to ensure it pops back into place. Finally, replace the valet key cover.

Step 6

Your key will now function as good as new! You can now switch on the ignition, ride lock and unlock your car door with so much ease.

You’ll need:

  • a box cutter or razor blade to score around the middle of the fob.

  • a CR2032 battery

  • a flathead screwdriver

Step 1

Check around the fob key for an indentation line that divides the key into two halves. Use a razor or key blade to score around the line until you can insert a small-size flathead screwdriver into the line.

Step 2

Separate the key in halves by inserting the screwdriver into the line and gently pushing the key till it comes apart.

Step 3

As soon as you separate the key, a rubber key cover will fall off and gives you access to the old battery. Remove the old battery and put in the new one. Install the new battery with the positive side facing up. Note that the positive side is the part with texts.

Step 4

Now replace the small rubber battery cover. Place the two halves back together after you have replaced the battery cover. Press round and the key will snap back into place.

Step 5

Your key is as good as new! You can test the key. Try unlocking your vehicle doors and other key functions. I bet it works perfectly now.
